yep your right its in the favorite section. my good friend JJ RANCH started this forum and i have been here since the start. it was made to give the good the bad and the ugly of central ref. so everyone could make their own decisions on the co. if you had read that in the begining you would know that. if you have a problem with what is discussed here i would sugest you take that up with mr. ranch and he can personally call out the ones who are in your opnion posting wrong. :biggrin_255:

I've been reading where a driver that says he's smart is leaning towards leasing after a year on the road. Why would you do that when you can make alot more money elsewhere as a company driver? With very little effort you can find a driving job that pays well over 50k in the 1st year with them without the risks of leasing and the sad pay at Central. CRS is only for newbies/students and trainers, everyone else is screwing themselves if they aren't driving as a hobby.

This is how we look at it now after doing the Central Fleece!!! Buy your own truck if you want to be an Owner Op, We did and are now saving our money to head out as TRUE owner ops....If we don't like who ever we lease onto it will be good bye and we drive OUR truck away!

Two or three months ago we get a knock on the door it was a guy serving a summons from Central for the school fee, which was already paid in full as JJ worked for them for 23 months, so we typed up a reply and sent it to the court house with our Documentation and about two weeks later got a letter from Centrals attorney saying Central had decided not to persue this matter:biggrin_2559: In other words if we didn't reply the judgement would have went against us and Central then could have had JJ Garnished at his current job...How many truck drivers know how to reply to a court doc??????? How many drivers can afford an attorney to fight BS LIKE THIS?

When we finished our lease we owed Central over $6000 for stuff they said needed to be replaced on the truck. You really can't do much about it cause if you hire a lawyer to fight it its going to cost you around that much anyway.

I guess you missed that part that says "IF I". Thinking about something and doing it are two different things... Believe it or not I actually like working for Central.. That has to be a big part of my decision.

Plus you seemed to have missed the part of the "change in financial situation". While my credit still sucks due largely to me allowing my ex-wife too much control over my life, I can now afford to have a few dozen bad paychecks... Driving isn't a hobby, but it's not an absolute necessity anymore.. Again I like driving for Central and in general..

Furthermore; you are assuming I don't want to be a trainer.. Bad to assume..

Would I recommended it to anybody - not unless they too were in my current shoes..

The grass may look greener elsewhere, but is it really??????

And here I thought they were looking over my shoulder-LOL!

'DON'T SPEED!!' just as I'm doing the stated speed limit (but not Central's) down a hill... :biggrin_2556:

I've been going through the thread ( not completly done yet), I was wondering if Central has fridges in the trucks. I haven't seen a refrence to it anywhere yet. Thanks.
