Psh. I ran loose leaf logs at Link. All you have to do is pop those staples out. Punch some holes in it for a binder and poof! You're now on loose leaf. Noone ever said anything to me about it.

ATTN: LINK AMERICA DRIVER Would you recommend Link, now that it's under new mgmt for a SE driver? Saw all the bad stuff from before they were bought out, but am thinking it has gotten better now because of new owner. My husband likes the OTR company he drives for but wants to get a regional position. What is your avg miles per week on SE regional? How long do you wait between dispatch for next run? What's your home time avg? Any info would be greatly appreciated! ASAP.

If your husband has thick skin and isn't w push over I would recommend it. Right now im dedicated so my miles run between 2000-2300 and I run Sunday night through friday morning then off again until Sunday night. When I was SE I had no problem getting home every 7 days. My miles still floated around 2000-2500. Depending in where you live we have great dedicated accts. When I was SE I ran 80% Florida and Georgia but if freight is low you will get a load out to TX, KS, MO or denver( that's assuming your SE. If SW then alot of Ok, tx, ks, mo). That's where drivers fail here. They hire on as SE or SW regional but refuse to run out of there zone when freight is slow. When you do get out if your zone, its very brief. The planners are mostly trying to keep you moving rather then trying to just a cover a load. You will do alot of short hauls. Usually 250-400 mile runs. Another area drivers fail because they think long runs are all that pays. Short runs add up at the end of the week. Stay on a good hard working attitude relationship with your driver manager and they will look out for you. Constantly communicate your availability via check calls and your wait on preplans will b short. I usually had one or two lined up. I have had 5 lined up at one point. I have also waited all day for a load as well, sometimes freight sucks and there isn't anything around. I know that to be a fact because i've been deadheaded 600 miles for a load, and have deadheaded 300-400 miles on plenty occasions. They are not afraid to deadhead so if you do sit all day, then you know freight sucks.

Do you know what the start pay is for 1 yr+,no violations, great driver? Do they give safety bonus'? Did you drive for them when they were under the old ownership & have you seen a difference in how they handle things?Hubby would NOT have a problem running outside his normal SE lane, he is not a complainer or whiner, he stays on the good side of his manager/dispatcher * treats all customers w/respect.

He would have to call as far as pay goes. Our new ownership has promised raises. They have followed through on everything else so no reason to doubt them. I've seem a 100% change from old ownership to new. We have a lot of good things coming here. We also receive bonuses for violation free inspections. Im not sure what the new owners will implement. But they're rolling out there own safety and mpg bonus system.

They can not do this Call the labor board in your area tell them what is going on and you will get your fund ASAP. The board will fine them and you should get those funds as well. I speak from experience. Wife failed to pay on time was turned in had to pay those funds plus the fine to the employee!

I was behind a Link truck today in GA at a truck stop. The trailer itself was an old Interstate Express with the stickers peeled off. There was a Link sticker on the top left of the doors in back. Then on the right side door was another sticker that read "An owner-operator company" and then a phone #.

..is that new? or is it maybe a leftover from the old company they bought? I don't remember Link being O/O but who knows with the new changes.

    Just wonderin'...

It was from interstate express. They've sold most of those trailers already. They hit them with out of service tags the second they get near the terminal
