    Greetings Truckers and Friends;

    Just recently graduated trucking school and trying to make a decision on what company to start out with; which one is newby friendly or the closest to it! Received a prehire response from Swift and from Werner and deciding which one to go with! Any suggestions and/or advise out there that I can use? Also thinking about FFE and Schneider as possible choices too. Any words of wisdom will be helpful.

    Peace,
    Cretan10

    Word of advice,don't jump on the first company that gives you a pre hire,pre hire does not mean you got the job it just mean you are clear to attend orientation that's all.Also there a hole lot of other training companies out there that are 10 times better than Swift and Werner.Stick around on here a while and do some reading,you'll find this web site with full of great info.

    Don't know all companies that train but as what I have heard and read,ill say Watkins & Shepard,Prime Inc,and Roehl Transport if you want to start in flatbed.There better training companies than Swift and Werner.

    I've been reading alot of good things about Crete on this forum. Roehl is a good company to start out with too. I started out there.

    Dude I went to swift right out of school yrs ago. Got on a dedicated 6 months later and was off on weekends and home a cpl nights a week. 850 week. People talk a lot of b.s. about the swift but if u learn how to work there system its a great place to start at. Probaly still would be working there if, I wasn't getting in a lot of trouble with logs. Good luck
