    one time i was picking up a truck load of gallons of milk from the farm we go to twice a week and the company trainer called and reminded me i needed to get this "RAW MILK" to the delivery ASAP....ummm raw milk this is processed and ready to drink numb nut.... i fired back i think my muffler bearings are going and i need to swing in to get them checked...his response "OK I'LL TELL THE SHOP" 5MIN LATER SHOP GUY CALLS ME LAUGHING!!!!:smt064

    I had a trainer tell me when backing in a tight spot, just keep going till you feel the trailer bump something, then pull up and try again.

    That's only funny because I saw a werner day cab at a Budweiser wholesaler in Michigan backing up like that, he would gun it in reverse Untill he hit the trailer next to pull up and do it again.

    My trainer would always say " we gotta stop and get gas at exit ##".needless to say he should not have been a trainer

    Why was that a dumb question? The weight limit sign is posted in tons. You needed to know how many tons your truck weighed so that you would know if it would be legal for you to cross that bridge. Sounds to me like a pretty darned good question to be asking if you're training a new driver, as it reinforces the need to know your truck and pay attention to the signs. Overhead clearance is another one...how tall is your truck? Will it clear that marked bridge? You'd be amazed at how many drivers screw THAT one up...:biggrin_25521:
