News flash: our family's lives are at risk every time they leave the house.

As a former drug user of more than just weed, I can assure you it is absolutely possible to refrain from it. I still associate with some of the people I used to party with, but they all know not to even mention drugs around me unless they're talking about Viagra.

When they were younger? When they were younger? Are you serious? This guy was high a month ago. That ain't 'when he was younger' in my book.

Well a month is a fairly long time in my book, Mind you I don't know where to get any (having moved) nor do I have the desire to start backup. It is something that I believe I can do with out. I am not jonesing, did not go all no pot crazy and Chris Benoit my family. You people act like smoking pot is so horrible, when the truth is far different. I've never gotten stoned and drove around, why would I start to do that after I have a profession I truly wanted.

I'm not a pants sagg'n, white-trash, Eminem hoodlum either. I graduated high school with a 3.2 GPA, I managed a restaurant for several years, volunteered for the Red Cross, was a active member of my community, all these positive things I did while using marijuana.

Will I ever smoke weed again? Maybe. But not in my foreseeable future. When the time is right for me. After I've done the things I wanted to do in life. When my kids are grown and have kids of their own. When I'm old and grumpy and living in my log cabin in the mountains of Montana, with a fresh caribou kill under my belt well then, I think I'll enjoy a nice marijuana cigarette.

That being said I'm done. You Hater McHatingtons have fueled my drive to prove you a bunch of hypocrites and wrong as well. So like I said, "see you in 6 months"

Smoking pot is not horrible. It is illegal.

A month is a fairly long time, when you are a toddler.

Is your foreseeable future a fairly long time?

If the dead caribou starts to talk to you, don't answer it!

    I like Eminem with peanuts.

Hater Mchatingtons?! Is that a line from Dr. Seuss or what? Prove people wrong, OK. I truly hope you do. I'd love to hear from you in 6 months, or even better a year, and have you be able to honestly say you've stayed clean. That would be great.

As far as proving people hypocrites, nobody has been hypocritical. What everyone has told you is that the risk for recidivism is extremely high, and nobody is comfortable with you driving a large vehicle while possibly using drugs. Quite frankly, I'm even more concerned by some of your recent posts like this last one where you state you believe a month is a long time. To me, that demonstrates you have a highly addictive personality, and I believe it is going to be very difficult for you to stay off the pot. In fact, I think the reason why you aren't using right now is because you state you have moved and don't have a supplier. I believe you would have already slipped back into using if you had access to the drugs.

Again, I wish you the very best, but I think you need to hook up with a group that will help keep your accountable, and I think you need to give it time. Drop back in after a year and let us know how its going and that you've managed to stay clean. I want it for you, but you have to want it even more for yourself, and I don't think you do.

Are you smoking again? Because you seem a little paranoid. No one in this thread is giving you any hate. We're simply telling you that six months ain't long enough to convince yourself and everyone else that you can keep from going back to the weed when the going gets tough and your stress level goes through the roof. That ain't hate, its just fact.

Because the going WILL get tough and your stress level WILL go through the roof. So the question is, do you have the tools necessary to deal with those situations without resorting to your old ways? That's all. No hate, just a simple question.

No one here wants to keep you from achieving your dream. But we also don't want to share the road with a stoned driver. You're positive that you won't ever be that guy and that's great. But we don't know you from Adam and the track record for those in your position isn't great so the odds aren't in your favor. Since we don't know you, we're forced to go with the odds. Can you blame us?

The only hate I see is coming from you telling everyone who truly want to see you succeed to KMA because they're not telling you what you want to hear.
