What kind of manors or skills do most rookies lack?

my shift key kinda messed up so im not going to use capital letters or punctuation. im wondering what flaws are noticed in most rookies? how can they be prevented? i read the whole bumper to bumper book twice and im starting school in February. i feel like its my responsibility to be fully prepared and educated before i hit the road. i been looking around this forum for a minute. does anyone got any important links, websites, or videos that would help? i have done a lot of research i would just like to know what others find useful for continuing education.

 

thanks for the replies. striker so i figure the spelling is mainly noticed in the logbook? is there other situations where writing is important besides the logbook and personal notes? about the respect for elders im very respectful but if your being teased at is it disrespectful to not mess around back? I would assume it depends on the individual. I haven't been to much of a social person besides for business/schooling. seems like people get upset that i don't mess around back but i figure messing around wastes time which time is money.

48packard patience is a good suggestion not only for safety reasons but keeping your eyes on the prize. To me that prize is having a flawless driving record, stable job, freedom to some extent, and preparing for the best possible future in my choice of industry. My life has taught me a thing or 2 about patience.

vinsanity yes that seems to be a skill a lot of society don't take time out to learn. which leads me to something i been wondering which is what kind of time do these companies give you to make your plan of action? when you drop off your cargo do they give you another pick up point? does planning your route count as on duty time? though i would figure it out myself on free time.
