i didn't read this whole thread but iv been working away from home for 7 of the 9 years iv been with my woman and she still complains about me being gone i just tell her to suck it up. one of the best things about life on the road is coming home. when you come home everyone misses you and is happy to see you, when your home every day its just another day. i always make sure to take some time every day to talk to her normally in the evening. take pictures of things that you can send her and she can do the same. helps you both feel a little more connected. and if you can when her scheduled allows try to take her with you. over the years i have taken her on a few trips to different places and she has seen things she has never seen normally turns into a enjoyable experience.

i would rather be with a woman that hates to see me leave than one that's glad to see me leave.

tell her to zip it, grow up, get a job, and wash your clothes when you get home, or else leave

Wow. Lie to your wife. Tell her to suck it up. My response to those words said to me: See ya. Wouldn't wanna be ya. And wash your own ******* clothes.

But then I guess you don't have a relationship built on honesty, honor or love.

You said it all right there DragonTamerBrat. Honesty, honor and love. Its tough on a wife as they have to deal with everything at home while you are on the road and being away from you. Its a tough deal and not everyone's wife is understanding and can handle this. I'm lucky as my wife comes with me now but she didnt always. Even though she comes from a family of truck drivers it still wasnt and isnt easy. If I were you I would do what ya gotta do to make her happy if you want to keep her, that is if you truly love her. I have been married almost 4 years so its still somewhat new but I do everything I can to make her happy. Get yourself a good cellphone plan that you two can video chat each other and dont get super jealous. If you are worried about your wife going out on ya then maybe she wasnt the right one in the first place. I have kidded around with my wife about making sure to clean up the mess and get his clothes out before I come home, this didnt go over very well so watch the jokes.

Depending on the lady in question, and her previous relationships, this may get funnier with time. At the beginning of our relationship, the relationship wouldn't have held up to it. Now, it's like. Yeah. Right. Who the hell has time? (I have 2 kids, 17 and 12. I homeschool them.)

I was married 16 years while driving OTR.
I thought she was happy and life was great until i came home early one time and found the boyfriend sleeping next to her.
She said we would still be married to this day if i had called on the way home.....:biggrin_25512:

I do not share so her butt was out the door! Crazy woman!

To the OP,I wish you luck but if she is complaining already things do not look good for the relationship.

you must have misread my post. she works takes care of her own stuff, i never pay for her clothes or personal items just the household bills. but when i'm gone always complains she wants me home. and dosen't like to see me leave. in the back of her mind she knows that me being gone is a necessary evil. it is nice when you come home and walk in the door greeted by a big hug and kiss and a warm welcome.

i didn't catch that. a bad situation for EZ Money obviously she wasen't the one. if i ever caught or found out my woman sleeping with another man in my house it wouldn't be pretty. i am thankfull for the woman i have and i think any good relationship can bear the time apart but it does take work from both party's, there was one day i was in a area without cell service wasn't in cell service until about 3am and chose not to call her back so late knowing she had to be up at 8am for work. oh man did i catch hell over that.
