OK. This one has been baffling me for a few weeks now. Whenever I run my coffee pot and it finishes brewing, this alarm sounds. It sounds like a watch alarm going off. After it stops beeping, all the bunk lights go out and will not come back on until I cycle the ignition. A few points so you don't have to ask:

-The coffee pot does not have any type of alarm built into it.
-It is not the built in dashboard alarm. I've checked...it's also not the typical "ding" of the dash alarm. This alarm sounds like a Casio or Timex type alarm with 10 seconds of long beeps and 10 seconds of rapid short beeps.
-This only happens when I am running on apu power (Tripac,) but 99.999% of the time I'm on apu power...unless it's 0°.
-It sounds like it is coming from under the drivers seat...or maybe the speaker right next to the drivers seat. I have looked under the seat and there is nothing there.

I have called the company's shop and they have never heard of something like this before. The truck is a '11 T660.

    Any thoughts??

Low voltage warning alarm....The coffee pot draws alot of juice if the truck isn't running..
It starts shutting down stuff so you'll still have enough power to start the truck....
Run the truck when you make coffee and you won't hear the alarm......

I was thinking the same thing BUT the APU is running....would that create sufficient charge to the batteries?

    Not always..
They charge the batterys fine, but put a big load on the system and the low voltage alarm will see the voltage drop below the preset level and start shutting stuff off till the voltage comes back up....
I went thru all this and put on a higher output alternator and took care of the issue...

The TRiPacs only have 65 amp alternators, not enuff to power anything major that makes electrical heat or a microwave, so you are drwing down the batteries while the coffee maker is on, even while the APU runs.

Interesting. The only thing that gets me is that it sounds like a watch alarm going off.

that is the Kenworth Low voltage alarm telling you to start the in the next min. or it will shut off the bunk power.I replaced my "low voltage protection" box and it worked fine for about 2 years then started acting up again just wired around it,BUT a cooler left on all weekend will leave you with a truck that wont start(yes that is the voice of experience,if you didn't recognize it).All that being said yours should be covered under warrenty being a '11 model.

If it keeps bugging you and you can't put up with it anymore it is very easy to bypass. The only downside is the possibility of dead batteries and a truck that will not start. The Low voltage disconnect is located in the side panel by the clutch pedal and the fuse panel. Remove this panel and there it is. Disconnect the wiring and reconnect them into themselves and there ya go it is bypassed.

Thanks. It was happening to 2012 T660 also. Couldn't"t find anything in the manual...
