Not all companies offer per diem and there are advantages and disadvantages to it. You don't pay taxes on per diem BUT when you try for loans and such it shows you make less money that you do.

Its a industry that's always going ti be against the driver. Just get the test done and call it a day. If hes cleared, that document will get him thru any physical after that (until dot makes another mandate). Having sleep ap wont disqualify him. Alot of people are fortunate for their tests as they having said it changes their life. I personally believe sleep ap is a problem and should be addressed

AGAIN NOT THE POINT. How is it so many don't get it? Tthe point isn't the test itself. I am not even worried about that. The point is how this company makes up new rules....fails in inform drivers of the rule....then can't even agree with what is the rule. you really think its ok to just make it up as you go along and hold drivers to different standards because of who they are....or which DR they go to.....or which day of the week it is?? You really think its ok to treat your employees all differently??

Sleep apnea isn't the problem. Its called dam trucking. Man up and suck it up. Like I was asked on dec29th how will did I sleep? Well I answered like this, I have a 2012 truck with a new mattress and a reefer that cycles on and off all night. So doctor you tell me how I slept? Its called trucking. This isn't a 9-5 kind of job. It has all sort of wack ### hours. And yet the driver is suppose to be a good little robot. Its trucking stop being politically correct. I have been driving for 13 years and I have never had a trucking accident nor have I have fell asleep at the wheel or felt the need to sleep during the day. And yet some bull *hit company policy I now have a sleeping disorder. I say bite me. The only people with a disorder are the office jockey's makin up dumb ### policies.

Fortunately we live in a society that allows you to choose other employment. If a company makes a rule then abide by it. Your free to leave. Wether you like it or not this is how it is. Driver fitness and EOBRs have been a hot topic issue for the quite a while.

I never once said the test was mandated. I however have been through the same situation based soley on numbers. I was relieved after it was over because I now have a document that basically says they can not bother me anymore.

At the rate jbs is going more then likely. The cvsa score on the company keeps getting worse. And when they drive out all the experienced drivers and only have newbies the scores will get worse, customer service will tank, so no work, no need for the trucks and no need for jbs carriers either. So long to jbs.
