After getting the $10 bonus 2 months in a row, the 3rd month they upped the anty to 600 gallons to get the $10. I just wonder what it will be for next month.

Ever been to the old keystone truck stop out in ebensburg PA at route 422 and 22 right by the top of mt. cresson? It's just a tiny little place, doesnt see that many trucks anymore. My dad used to fuel there because after so many gallons they gave you a steak dinner. I have fueled there myself, but never went inside the resteraunt.

I just went thru Tuscola, IL (I-57 & US 36) yesterday. They tore down the old Dixie... What a shame, it was a nice place at one time. Mclean is still open under a different owner.

If memory serves me right... wasn't there a Dixie in Effingham? I think the Bobber in Effingham is gone. They both might be long gone for all I know. It's been a little while since I've been down this way....

    Here's a few that I always liked....
Arrowhead (Shell) in Hampshire, IL and Edgerton, WI. Sister truckstops. Both had real good food. Hampshire had a really good shop out back. I always like stopping here. I was on a first name basis with everyone.
Also, the Bar-B in Black River Falls, WI before the J came in. Now I stop across the street at Kwik Trip.

I think all the Dixies are closed. The one on I-90 didn't last, used to be the Green Gables I think. The one north of Raleigh was barely open b4 it closed up.

$10 isn't enough to lure me into Pilot. I may buy fuel occasionally, but usually try to fuel at other truck stops. Evidently, they are losing business or they would not be offering any sort of incentives. Pilot rarely gives anything away. Having a good discount on fuel would do more to get more of my business than $10.

I think the old Union 76 at Effingham was a Dixie for a while.
