OK. You all are killing me!!! Are you a hotshot company or a regular company? Cause I have had only one outfit deny me a load so far and my authority is like a month old. Not even. I even looked at a couple Landstar loads and it wasn't a problem. Maybe a forum for Hotshot O/O's is in order here. Because it gets confusing. The outfit that denied me was Freightquote. Which the rate was crap anyways. So no worries there.

After one month the worst is behind you. There are about a half dozen that will require six months. The couple of those I've called on, now coming up on a year with authority, you're not missing out on anything special. For each one of them is 20 more that will load you.
Five more months will go by like nothing.1958Pete Thanks this. -
Chip with landstar told me that just last week

There are only a handful of brokers who won't load new carriers. After 6-12 months, you should not have a problem getting anyone to load you. The only way to tell if a broker will load you is to call on a load. They will tell you if they have a problem with your time in business. You could set up something with a factoring company. Although most brokers have quick pay, some don't and if you need the cash flow then you should have a back up. There are some factors that don't require that you send them a minimum amount of invoices or factor all of your receivables.
silver dollar, DaRoad and 1958Pete Thank this. -
Their rates suck anyway. I never been refused either. -

Waiting for Robinson and Mercer. A few brokers are asking for references, so after about 2 weeks, I suppose that will be covered. Thanks! -
Starting out if you are booking your own loads you can do very well with LS. Yes they have low rates but if you stay on top of load alerts you can do very well for yourself. Just remember they use air miles when they are giving miles in the system so you will want to double check those.
Mercer can offer some good rates just not happy that they want everything tarpped. You will be the only person tarpping.
Never take a cheap load from CHR. They track it like no other and you will be on the call list. You can get good paying loads from them but much harder if you accept something cheap just to move.DaRoad Thanks this. -
they don't bother me anymore with that I was told I have a 98.4 rating with them. I get regular load offer calls but most are to low for me.
How do you get the load alerts from LS? does it require a special app.?
