I admit, I was tempted to not say anything and get my truck fixed on the road while I was under that load. Would have helped the bank account. Decided to do the right thing.

Sitting in Springfield Mass at the terminal. Grabbing a load heading to Louisville Ky delivering Monday. Had a pretty crappy experience in Keasbey the last couple of days. Had a load delivering in Bayonne Thursday. Paulsboro dispatch told me I would go to Keasbey afterwards, grab a loaded trailer and run a dedicated load to Lima Oh and back. Drop and hook on both ends 24 hours a day. They would then either load me for home Saturday or lay me over with a load going to Mo on Monday. Sounded good to me.

I got to Keasbey Thursday around 1400 and immediately got a message saying another driver was going to take the preloaded trailer and that I was to live load a Lima dedicated at 1400 Friday. I figured no problem just a little more layover and I would still be back to grab the Mo load for Monday. Got a message this morning saying that load had been rescheduled and wouldn't load until 10 PM. I asked if it could be delivered any time like the other load they had me on and was told they only take them before 3:30 PM. I got a little pissed and told the guy I was supposed to be out of there yesterday and that he wasn't the one sitting at this crappy tankwash. They pulled me off that load and had me pull an empty up to Springfield.

    1/21-1/23

Got my load in Wallingford Ct around 9:00 Saturday. It was snowing pretty good and the 4 wheelers were playing bumper cars on I-91 and I-95. I ran about 35 mph for a few hours down to just past Bridgeport and stopped at a travel plaza for lunch. I fired up the laptop and saw that the snow storm would blow out to sea in about an hour and a half so I took a 2 hour break figuring I could make up that time by split breaking if need be.

It turned out to be a good plan. The storm blew out to the south first and by the time I got to the GW Bridge the plows had caught up and it was smooth sailing.

I stopped last night in Charleston WV at the TA exit 39 I-64 to watch the football games. For future reference the Fireside Grill across the street from the TA behind KFC has great wings and lots of nice size flat screens. It was like culture shock after the Keasbey Tank wash.

I am now sitting waiting to unload in Louisville. These guys are pretty laid back. Unloader told me they had to move product before the tanks would hold mine. Been here right at 2 hours and they just hooked up the hoses.

I figured I would post this picture of Keasbey since so many drivers get lost going in and out. The road in is under the bridges. To get out follow Smith street around to the left back to the NJ TPK.
