on the reefer side,do they run all 48?

 

I do believe they stay east of I35. Check with recruiting to be sure.

 

Yes they do plus some Canada. However most freight is like Sewerman said east of I-35.

 

I'm trying to get out west

 

I have a good friend of mine who switched over to the TCD or Reefer division. He runs out west some, but like Dan and Sewerman said, he stays east of I-35 for the most part. He usually gets at least 2700-3600 miles per week and that is staying east of I-35. His best week was 4200 miles, but he stays out for at least a month at a time. I didn't read the other posts, but are you a driver for Maverick? If so, talk with your Fleet Manager about getting you out west. Dan and Sewerman can correct me if I am wrong, but freight determines where trucks are needed. Hope this helps and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

 

The website doesn't say how much exp they require for the TCD. Do you know that? thx

 

If you are an experienced driver they will train you for TCD. I think its just a day class??

 

I meant the amount of driving experience in the last 3yrs. That's what's hurting me now.

 

Id call a recruiter if I were you. We do have trainers if they feel you need a refresher.
