from what I have observed longevity seems to be the norm instead of the exception here at Mercer......it had better be our LAST company.......
...I'mma gettin tired of this 3-year itch....

I am with mercer a little over 4 years. I still pull a 96 inch wide flatbed and I do ok with it. Now I do not run hard like a lot of our guys do. For 2011 I averaged 1.48 per mile on 76000 miles That is every mile put on the truck loaded empty bobtail. It is my opinion that mercer is honest and straight forward. We have a couple agents that are not(like the one in Minn who is not really an agent but a large broker)They are not very truthful at times but move a lot of frieght. I have been hosed by them twice so now iI just avoid them. Never had any problems with getting paid no surprise deductions or anything like that If you can put aload on and tie it down keep your log book right and not run into or over anything you can probally do just fine
scottied67 Thanks this. -

Redd you may have made a mistake, as mercer did not start up untill 1977 so it would have been nearly impossible to lease on to them in 1973. Unless the guy did not run the truck for the first four years he had it.

spacetruck, mercer as it is now started in 1977 but it actually existed before that. . they had a few guys running under them before it was bought it 1977.
so while not technically the mercer trans of today (under the owners in 1977) mercer was an entity before 1977, and that is still a sharp 1973 kenworth that guy runs, i saw him at winchester, va last year around march 2011
