If my truck is in the wrong place, has the wrong paper, or can't tell where to go it comes back to me. Makes oversize rates through PA go up.

Yea but then you have to call them back. I've had guys that when thier number came up on caller id I'd answer with with a simple what did you tear up now and I think in the two weeks he worked for me I got one call that wasn't about crap that he had run over or torn up.

I have one of those myself...just about pull my hair out when he calls my number on Sunday. He has a real knack for ruining my day off with his stupidity.

I think everyone needs one of those to make you appreciate the good hands all the more. Out of 19 trucks I have about 12 guys that I can call and say here is the load hers the dimensions call me when it's delivered. The other 7 have to be nursed along and usually don't get real far from home.

Seeing from the last post, he made it 2 weeks?
I'm afaird to ask how much that ended up costing the company in damages and or claim costs.
Very seldom do I call my dispatcher or qualcom him.
He gives me the ld. info.
If problem I try and figure the solution and then I let him know what we did to fix the problem..
Tearing up something is on me as I own the trk. and the trl. Well the bank still owns the trl.

Yep and I bet it's something that can not be fixed untill Monday right?

Had drivers years ago when I worked in shop. Call me in the middle of the night. I have a headlight out. What do I do?
Got 5 bucks. yes well then buy one and put it in. Click.

I don't remember right off hand but it was a bit. Worst one I had was a hand that snagged a power line and kept pulling until he had nine miles of line on the ground and 19 poles. Good thing he was out in the middle of nowhere and didn't damage anything but the power line and his truck. And then there are the calls at three AM saying my trucks on it's side what do I do have had three of those they are always fun.

Man, That bites. Hope drivers were ok. I'm afaird to ask how a driver can go 9 miles and not know he's taking out power lines.
I caught one that my high pole cleared but with the crown of the road and curve I caught it. Had skidders on ld. just not far enough out on the ends of ld. Saw it happen. Just hair late in the stopping. Only doing like 10 mph.
Got stopeed and made trhe calls. But 9 miles. What no rear view mirrors in the trk. lol

In his defense it was around midnight and we were running the last loads out of the field up 96 miles of nasty dirt road up to the highway but I had to laugh when he said he was watching sparks for awhile before a steer tire blew. My insurance took care of it but it still wasn't fun. Such is life in the patch I suppose when you are just trying to get the job done.

You just made me appreciate all of my crappy drivers that only tore up stuff and didn't lay them over. Thank you, but I'd hate to see your insurance premium.
