Roehl allows new drivers to drive flatbed. They have securement training for flatbed too. They are a good company for new drivers, whether you are in vans, flatbeds, or curtainsides. Good luck.

I personally would not start out flat bedding. Your young, New, and Flat bedding can be very dangerous, and sometimes fatal. The B class will familiarize you with trucking. then later move up. Your safety is number one priority. You will have plenty of time to accelerate in trucking later. Good Luck.

Try Falcon. They are based out of Youngstown and have a yard right up the road from you in Wheatland. They also take newbies.

Look, I'm sure this will make me sound like a d-head, but I'm normally plain-spoken, so I'm just gonna be blunt....
The oilfield companies aren't like the big, bottom-feeder, door-banger, OTR outfits. You can't sit around the house in your pajamas eatin' Cap'n Crunch and filling out online apps until you get the job offer that you want. If you want to work in the oilpatch, you're gonna have to hustle, hustle, hustle - all of the freakin' time.
That hustle includes getting out there and finding companies close to you and knocking on doors and telling those people why they need to hire you. Convince them that you're the best opportunity that they've ever had, and then work hard to back it up.
If you tough it out and make a hand, you will be well-rewarded for that hustle. But, you've got to get out there and make it happen on your own.
Good luck.
