Oh, the planners and dispatchers still have final say. We were computer planned on a load earlier that was a short deadhead with good miles, BUT the planner for the area decided to give us a 'crap' load with a long deadhead and short miles, about 30% deadhead. We were really pleased with the computer dispatch in Chicago area tho cause we normally get deadheaded to Wisconsin or Minnesota. This time it was just to Joliet.

Originally I was bothered by the new system and the e logs. But after having 2 slow weeks and returning to the way I drove on Alliance, I don't really care if every week is 2300 miles. I scanned in 4680 for 2 weeks because I didn't get to transflo in time. My net due driver was 1998.87 not bad I'd say for "Cadillac-ing" for the last 2 weeks.

    TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

Sitting back in Ontario, picked up a load in Amarillo yesturday, tyson. 2 deliveries in the am, no bad 1400 mile load and three days to get it and deliver. Oh by the way its 82 here. Crazy woke up in flag at 22 and parked in Ontario at 82. Blows my mind.

The dispatchers may have final say but they are really screwing things up. After I was empty at cosco in atlanta I got a 3 hour nap before I was dispatched to another hot load that was to be picked up monday and delivered on wed south of chicago. Today is thursday and it picked up at mars in cleveland TN.

So my thoughts that the teams and trainers are going to benefit from the system and solos are getting the crumbs. I am on my 3rd load of less than 800 miles.

Dujo you do know you can transflo when ever you want and get paid two business days later.

I know, but I prefer to scan on Tuesdays and just decided to wait until the following.

I agree on your comment about the "new system" planners will always have a way to introduce their favoritism and screw up a simple plan. I do believe the weeks of solos getting 3000+ miles per week just became the exception to the new rules. So, I personally will not drive my truck over 58mph just to get a load there and sit for multiple hours on the bathroom promises of "do me a favor and ill look out for you on the next one" nope nope nope. Ill plan for 2300-2500 every week and run the efficiently and if I run more, then great! If not, oh well.

Yea, I'm sorry I had to leave San Diego. Had all day yesterday. Emptied in Vernon at 0600, loaded in SD at 1800.
Had lunch with my old plant manager, sales manager and EPD manager. Sat at an outdoor cafe drinking in the sunshine.
My student is from Lansing. He told me, "This just isn't right!" referring to the weather.
We're getting ready to switch drivers soon. Will end up in Tucumcari tonight.
    Deliver sunday in Ohio.

    E LOG GUYS!!
I was wondering about repowers. When you're in the middle of your break and you do a repower..... does that mess your break up and force you to do a split? Do you have to start your break over? I'm ignorant still as I don't have them yet. I will get it when I go back in February though.

I am tending to lean towards agreeing with this, but I haven't experienced it enough to form an opinion (I can't tell if it's just January, or dispatch...or both.) I can definitely say that the 1st week in Jan was far better than the past 3 have been. This week is shaping up to be a high teens/low 2000's week unless I get a load out of NE immediately after this delivers.

I also agree with the computer dispatching low miles to me. Since the computer has taken over, it has only given me 2 loads over 1,000 miles and no loads over 1500. Most are around 700-800 with AT LEAST a day of sitting in between. We'll see what happens once I deliver in NE on Sat. I will have to rattle the cage tomorrow for a preplan or I most definitely will be sitting over the weekend.:biggrin_2556:

You know the technical answer, line 4 for .25 hour. I am not with Stevens or on E-logs. I am to curious how one would handle this thou. I would hate to break a 10 for 15 lousy mins. Any way you look at it you are having to do something with the truck.

I would think if you went slow enough and did not go far the E-log would not put you on line 3. But if the log department syncs up your time then they will know right away that you did not log it, when ya did it :biggrin_255:. I guess you could make the driver wait :biggrin_25513: I know if I was the other driver I would not be happy :biggrin_25518:

if your on your break when you get the repower then either you were out of hours n as long as you dont move n let the driver whos bout to run the miles you no longer have log the repower complete you have no wories n if your picking up the repower you should be ready to run it anyhow so this may not be the politicly correct answer or the companys ideal response ,,, but it's what i would do.
