If I'm pulling a reefer I try to nose in also, no one want's to hear that thing going off all night. Besides it's less likely that they will shut it off.

I never nose in.....It kills my TV reception and i miss the fun of watching other drivers circle the lot 20 times waiting on a spot....
I pull a reefer but our loads only need to be at 65 or less so i cool it to 45 during the day and shut the reefer down when i park.
All of my drops are at shopping malls and private property that i have keys for.
It is much better sleeping there than a truck stop.
Nothing like a huge empty parking lot and most have security that keeps an eye on my truck all night.
I might sleep in a truck stop 2 times a month on average. -
Did your mama still love you? -

Saw one off the road today and made sure to look to see who it was. You know that construction on I-55 going through Blytheville, AR? Well, where you make that rather sharp crossover back to the right side going south, a daycab made the first turn and kept on straight into the ditch. Said Roadway on the door, nothing on the trailer.

I drive in when ever possible. Two nights ago I was the only one in my lane and I drove in. Sure as ####- later that night a prostar with the ever running wind turbine backed in right beside me. I could hear it but it was far enough away that it didn't keep me awake.

Tonight, I nosed in so I could get the last spot in the truck stop. If I had circled around to back in, I would still be circling around.
