Well real life is intruding in our trucking life... My MIL fell and broke her hip and is needing surgery. So far our DM is really working with us and has relieved us of the load to OH and is now working on a load to Sac. HOWEVER... On our pre trip (yes we do them) the wheel seal that they supposedly fixed, is now leaking again and is streaking grease all inside the rim of the tire!!! Now the dealership did say they could get us right in and it 'should only take two to three hours'.... Yeah in shop lingo that's how long??? Bets anyone??
So that's the recent update for Team Klingon...

Thank you for starting this thread, it took me a while, but I have read it in entirety. Ahh, the trials and tribulations of life on the road. Really helps a lot to learn what to really expect. Probably a glutton, but starting with Central next month, going to SLC on 20th. As long as God don't laugh at my plans, which would be no surprise. I will check in on team klingon as long as you post on here. almost feel like I know you after reading so much, again thank you.

I think Central is a good starter company... as long as you remember it IS a starter company... I think out of my class I'm the last one still with Central. Same out of my husbands class. Some went to other local jobs, some quit driving all together. So I'm sending good thoughts your way, and I'll see you out here!!Brownyjr36 Thanks this. -
BOYCOTT
My husband was told by the Management here at the Phoenix, AZ. D/C that it is acceptable practice for them to over order, claim to NOT have room in their warehouse for the product and then make delivering trucks wait, in some cases more than 24 hours to unload (and still requiring the drivers to pay a lumper service to unload the trailer - between $150 to $250+). Right now there is 5 trucks that have been waiting for more than 12 hours to unload. We got here at 10:30am for a 3:00pm appointment. At 2:00pm we were told that "they" were not going to unload us till 4:00am tomorrow.
I would like to show "management" that it is NOT acceptable... But then again, they don't care...
Even when we told them about the family emergency... Just blank stares... So we got here at 1030... Appt for 1500... Still here and not to door at 0600 the NEXT day!! Detention ... Yeah, we only get 8 hrs worth even though there are two people and we've been here WAY longer!! TOTAL FRUSTRATION!! -
0900 and still sitting here!!!
