Still happening in Texas. I haul crude 5-6 days a week. Best move I ever made.

As you probably know, Schneider's new tankers are already in the oilfields and they're paying out burger money to the newbees. I think there is another OTR company doing the same thing as well.:biggrin_25513:

Guys, these mega companies are not gonna be succesful in the oilfield. The level of service that is demanded will be impossible for them to meet.

I'm sure there are some illegals in the oilfield but they are never gonna drive the wages down very much. Almost every position in the oilfield requires some degree of learning ability. Everything is taught on the job and paperwork is a large part of almost everything. If you have a third grade education and can't read, write, or speak English your never run much more than a powerwasher.

We're too busy working to post every day. I'm running 12 hour shifts 5+2 5+3. Trying to check in every couple of days. Oilfield trucker, I had a friend who ran water haulers for Texas Frac Fluids out of Center TX just east of Tyler. He said they were paying around $15/hr, lots of hours.

Same here, moved down to southwest LA from Chicago because this is where the work is and I love the 2nd amendment. I work 60/week and make more money than I did as a Teamster running a concrete mixer and cement pneumatic tanker in Chicago in an area with a cost of living about 25% lower.
