    4 females that thought trucking was like visiting the Grand canyon/Wallyworld in a luxury rv , 2 males that had no clue about how to drive and 1 male that studied too hard for the whizquiz.

    Going there monday!

    did rascals in ocala(great bbq and huge burgers) and a trucker friendly cafe(bunch of outlaw supertruckers hanging about) in frostproof this past week.

    Tom and Big Buddy have restricted the distance that we can travel to 100ish miles from the house because the class is so small.

    im attending the class now. jan 24th was mi start date. Im from NJ. Ive been here awhile. I never knew ppl from Florida talk tht country until I meet Darrien. He is a nice guy, though. Thursday, Jan 26 was mi 1st time shifting on the track. Darrien was the instructor. I was a bit nervous. I really get nervous on the downshifting. My foot is heavy. Any suggestions???

    Relax and watch reruns of Heehaw.

    That old KW is about easiest shifting truck MFT has,bring the engine speed down to 800 by using the brakes then do a 700 rpm bump for a 2 gear drop and 400 for a 1 gear drop and always watch your roadspeed when downshifting.study the bluebook gear/roadspeed chapter.

    I like this school . If we are doing one thing like backing or (un)coupling. We will be doing it from 10am to 5:30pm. So u are bound to get it. All tht time I know u will get bored especially on the coupling and uncoupling because you have to turn those landing gears up and dwn. Plus, its still HOT in great Ol FLORIDA.

    better get that coupling and uncoupling down to 10 minutes or less.

    Starting 7th week on tuesday and have about 600 miles logged so far.Hope to finsh up school with over 1000 miles.
