That explains alot!
I send him a detailed itenerary for repower option. ETAs as roll thru Denver, Cheyenne, Laramie and were I will park in Rawlins when my clock runs out.
He responds that he's probably re-evaluate the situation when I park. He says "I think you will have enough hours to make the 90 tomorrow"
I respond that it's impossible for me to cover 860 miles with only 11.5 hours on my 70. I tell him that there is a 6 hour cushion if I roll at midnight and hand off the load somewhere within the milage range of a solo. Or any team can take it between here and the 90. Then I tell him I can make Boise or possibly Ontario OR.
Flash forward. I get a message to hold up at Cheyenne. Told him I'm 70 miles from Rawlins and my clock would run out before I got there I he wanted me to turn around. Told him I was 40 miles past Laramie too.
He may come up with a plan, but my guess is D man will be solving it tomorrow.
He suggested maybe a swap at SLC. I said he may want to look at that closer. That's a little over 600 miles with a heavy load, plus 55 mph in Oregon. Plus three mile hill, Ladd Canyon, the backside climb and slow decent on Cabbage.
I figure it would take a solo with a fresh clock swapped North of Ogden to do it.

Got called an hour ago from a guy they are sending to repower. He just called and said he has to park because of wind. Apparently he is only at half weight. I don't blame him, I got battered and I'm about 79680.
Called dispatch they told me to roll at midnight and someone will figure out something.
I'll take the miles... I'm only concerned that this load will end up still being late with all the hassle... And I may still not be the one to deliver it. -
