As for rationalizing the $.14 as if you are getting something for it ... that's is total nonsense. CRE charges it because they can and drivers swallow it.

If it was actually "buying" all those services why does it go away and all those services suddenly become free, if you exercise the purchase option on your truck?

But probably left on the hook for thousands of dollars for that bogus training, company or not - lease is still offered a "job".

People gotta read those contracts ... :biggrin_2554:

Well, I don't know where you got your information from but they told all of us in lease op orientation that the variable mileage was for their office staff services. Ours is currently at eleven, about to be lowered to ten next month.

Reread his post, he's talking about the variable mileage payment, not the pay per mile to the driver.

I'll agree, their training school is a little steep but why do you call it bogus? If I don't say so myself, I think they did a fine job teaching myself and my wife how to drive a truck.
From what I've seen, that's like the majority of the problem. People don't read that contract before they sign it, something goes wrong and they come on here blaming CRE for it.

ok I am a little confused sorry we dont have any trucks for you but if you sign on for our l/p plan we have a truck for you. something wrong with that logic in my book.

Ok, they have trucks specifically for leasing and trucks specifically for company drivers.

In other words, they don't have one big pile of trucks where any one of them could end up either a lease truck or a company truck.

    Does that make better sense?
