They are definitely keeping me busy, very busy. If I wanted I could work 5+2 6+2 instead of 5+2 5+3, but some of these weeks I'm pretty tired by the end.

 

2nd amendment - right to bear arms! Is it rough down there?

 

Every company ive called in Tx last few days say no work! Things are slow!
Also everyone I have spoken too has been Hispanic .

So either it is slow for everyone!
Or the ones that are running "now"'are working but no capacity for more trucks!

 

FREEBRD....You have to show up!! Calling doesn't do much but beiing there showing them that you are ready to work speaks volumes!! I went down there in Dec and seen for myself all the help wanted signs in Midland/Odessa and Sonora!! Check out Paulcouto!! Awsome Dude and he will point you in a direction!!

 

def walk in the offices! some you stil ahve to fill an app out online, but then go straight there! Easier for them, thye dont wanna hunt you down lol

 

Sentinal Transportation is closing in Kenedy Tx thats the bad news but the good news is that Nabors well services are going to pick up all the drivers and let them keep their senority for vacations etc.

 

Today was my Sunday and they called me to ask if I wanted to come in tonight and work an extra day. Normally I would have said yes but I'm flying back to Chicago next Sunday and needed to get some things in order today.

I have not heard anything about the terminal in Kennedy shutting down, and it was my terminal that trained and staffed it up. I will ask about this at work tomorrow.

 

OK, back to the hunt. made up my mind last night. I just cant start til march 1st. so i can get the kids settled into school and find good daycare. AS soon as I get MY vehicle in about a week, then i can go to work, then i can make my own money and then "Im going thru the Big D and I dont mean Dallas" lol

 

anyone here in the Odessa area know where to get a DOT physical at a decent price? i need a new one... ugh
