I would guess 80% of the complaints about the 'BFI' starter companies can be laid at the feet of the newbie.
I find far too many coming in with a 'you owe me' attitude.
I train, so I see it a lot. And I hear it a lot from other trainers, not only with my company, but others as well.
When a student complains I'm being mean because I tell them to roll out of the sack at 0500 and let's roll by 0530, then that tells me something.
When they pout because it's too cold out there to get out and check the tires, or it's too hot, or too wet, or, or, or...
Or about the third week out in a 5 week program they are whining, "I wanna go home. This isn't right! They're being unfair keeping me out."
When I remind them this was all covered before they came to orientation, and again covered before my truck rolled out the driveway, they wine.
So while there are legitimate complaints out there, most in my opinion, are just the whiney butt newbie.

Maybe that's the reason why the supposed "better", non BFI companies won't take people unless they have at least 2 years experience.
