Another question froma a newbie. When does the one year period begin? While you're out driving with the trainer for 2 months or does it start once you go solo?
If I were to go out with a trainer in March and be finished and get my own truck in May, would the one year contract begin in March or May?
Thanks.

Lets see... My bring home for the last 3 checks have been:
$45.43
$114.11
$100.72
I doubt that I will see $20,000 my first year. Maybe Im just not playing the game right. I dunno...
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Im leaving Stevens very soon (I find out tomorrow if I landed a new job) because I cant make ends meet. I could work as a greeter at WalMart and make more money. Honestly.
Im not trying to sound negative, but thats my experience here.
But, I do feel that they have an excellent school and training program.
I wish you the best of luck... -
I have been lucky, thanks for the heads up!! I know there is a company that make steel boxes for these gens. They look nice but are expensive, guess I will look at buying one for the passenger side frame rail, now to get them to take that blasted chain holder off
I don't know why are trucks have them as most of the fleet stays east of the big muddy. And only a handful have chains!!

Woke up this morning figuring I had time for a leisurely cup of coffee, a shower then mosey on down to Wally World to pick up an empty. Since they told me they wouldn't start working on the drops until 10am, I figured I had lots of time.
Call from my DM: "I was surprised I didn't have a nasty QC message from you seeing how you emptied yesterday and still aren't dispatched."
"I don't have a trailer."
"Doesn't matter. Head to Burns, WY and repower."
And so we did.
On our way to LA for an 0600 drop in the morning. Which of course we won't make. Not even close.
I suggested we could make Las Vegas or even Barstow if they could find a truck sitting there that can relay it on in.
They found a truck in Barstow with two days left on their load. They had been complaining about having to sit there.
But will they answer their phone or QC?
So we'll rattle on in, but whomever didn't answer their phone could have traded and been done tomorrow.
Oh well! -

I made mid thirties the first year with Stevens. Not sure what the average is, but I'd guess it's 30-25.

My first year with STVV, I was company for 40 days and then went L/O. First year I managed to net an impressive (first year ever in a truck and to be leasing as well) $39,914. Wasn't bad for a first year driver, leasing a truck and not clue as to the business end of it. Gotta tuck nuts and bully your way through. The Big T Thanks this.

Are you on grad fleet? In particular Brian lads fleet? IJS......

Man, I still need to pay my taxes for that year......WTF to that.
Maybe I wont have to if we all vote Ron Paul 2012! -
So you leasing DUJO or company?
