Officers don't come from poor families, so they take risks, absolutely. But poor people take most of the risk that being a soldier entails. Not only does a poor grunt take the risk of being maimed or done in, but he will also have to live with the fact he killed somebody, if he has to do that, for his remaining days. Sure, a lot of soliders are gung-ho today, but in twenty years they may start seeing the faces of those they had to kill while doing their patriotic duty. Good luck trying to sleep.

Does Roehl still run those STRIPPED TO THE BONES mid roofs?Even Schneider runs better trucks than Roehl.

Fired up the Webasto for the first time the other night in NH. 44 deg in the morning...yikes! -

I agree that Roehl is a training company. You will find many more newer (<18 mo) drivers than you will >5 year drivers. That being said, it is still a really good place to get that experience and move on to a company that requires a year or more of experience to work for them. Tough it out, put in the time, and your time at Roehl will pay dividends in the end.
The worst thing you can do is start complaining right out of the gate and then get tagged as a trouble maker. This will sink you at ANY company, not just Roehl. -
My last week:
Sat and Sun-1300 mile trip from WI to upstate NY. Actually only ran 1100 miles (routed thru Canada) but will get paid 1300 for practical miles.
Mon- 600 mile trip NH to MD
Tues and Wed- 1100 trip DE to WI
Thur-Short trip in WI and WI to MN, 500 miles
Friday- 300 mile trip MN to WI and home.
3800 miles. 3800 x .42= $1596
Canada and tarp pay =$64
Trainer pay= $350
Total= $2,010. Not bad for a week. What a horrible company. -

Meanwhile, the rest of us, who don't get trainer pay, have to wait for the leftovers of you trainers and 7/7, 7/4 and 7/3. I never said they were horrible either. My experience may be unique, but I doubt it. Like I stated earlier, over 80 percent with one year or less experience. If they were as wonderful as you say they are, then those experience figures would be reversed. Have another wonderful week, and good luck. Perhaps one day we will all be as blessed as you seem to be, without the condascending attitude. -
Where do you get this 80% figure?
