Boy this has been an easy trip home. I am sitting in Florence SC taking my break. I'll have 450 miles to do tomorrow to get to Orlando. I deliver 5am Thursday then will go home until Monday. This breakdown last week really screwed up my routine. Oh well, at least I'll be home and get to watch the Super Bowl in the comfort of my house with family and friends.

Saw new equipement being delivered while I was at the yard. We have 10 new dry vans, 5 new reefers and 10 new trucks coming in the next few weeks. My truck that had the engine replaced by Volvo with only 224k on the clock will be done next week. I'm going to unload half my stuff and leave it at the house, then come home and get it after I get my truck back. It beats moving from this truck to my other truck in the cold PA winter. Been there, done that once this winter. Much better in the South Florida warmth.

What cold winter in PA? Almost 60 and sunny today. I'll tell you, someone is looking out for us because I would have never expected the winter to be this mild, everyone I talk to here says this is the mildest winter they can remember in years, and that's just fine by me. Looking forward to hopefully getting home sometime mid-summer.

When I moved into this truck 3 weeks ago it was a Friday night, 15 degrees, windy as hell. It took me the whole trip home to get warm.

Thanks John. That's where I'm headed. I found out after you asked last week that they changed doors.

You guys sat for a week???

And I thought I had it bad sitting 4 out of 5 days two weeks ago. At least I got a 188 mile DH move between the two resets. Anyway, my new gig is going good so far. It's just about the easiest job I've had in trucking. Hook up a hose and load 6,000 gallons of spring water which takes about 15 minutes, drive 50 miles to the customer and hook up a hose and pump off 6,000 gallons which takes about a half hour. Three trips and about 10 hours later I'm done for the day and back home.

Here's a pic of the new ride. Be safe coming back east.

I'm home. Was empty at 7:30 this morning then drove home and was having breakfast with my lovely wife at 10:30. I'll get my reload info tomorrow for Monday. Be safe all, God Bless.

    Let's Go Giants!!!
