Oooo, I did see two drivers walking across the street to that diner. Thanks for the tip. I won't park across the street but I will walk across to get there. :)

I have always stayed at the Pilot when I have had to stop there, never a problem, I saw the sign but I have seen them in other places as well.

Upstate NY is beautiful April through late November. The only thing is that ###### toll road known as the thruway.

I've been through that Pilot hundreds of times and I never noticed any signs that say that but I haven't driven in a year so maybe they just put them up? The truck parking situation in the NE is bad and they were supposed to be adding parking after that guy got killed a few years back. I haven't seen much fixed though except that small pull off on 287.

I'd love to see how high your reasons go when talking about NYC.

As far as that pilot, I've stayed overnight there numerous times. They don't enforce it. I asked the cleanup guy about it, he said something about not dropping your trailer for more than 3 hours. Not sure how credible he was though.

That's okay driver, just leave your load at our place, we'll run it in for you.

    (For a fee of course.)

Oh and I've been tossed out of that Pilot, not for parking, but for getting in an argument with the manager. He was being a ####### to customers and employees alike. I told him, "you don't like your job? I'm sure there are a dozen people out there who'll take it tomorrow."

Never seen a face turn so red so fast.

I saw one of those 3 hour max parking signs at a new Pilot near Springfield, IL.
