    Hi Everyone.
I just got my license after 8 tries so you know I am very dedicated about this. I have a problem I am with CREngland, I just off a what they call a Phase one program where I go OTR with someone who is a O/O and learn the business. I had a really a bad experience he threaten me, called me girl, that I could not handle being a truck driver, and ask me sexual question. So I am kind of leery about going out with a trainer again for Phase Two. I did learn several things though and that is how not to run your truck. He never trip plan, always drinking energy drinks, hardly ever sleeps, and when he does we are always late for delivery or get lost looking for the receiver. With that said I am smart enough to ask question from other driver which were more than happy to give me advice.
I was wondering my trainer did not let me backup so I am rusty and if I go out on my own I am afraid either not backing in tight sports. I would like your advice on should I go on the phase 2 till I feel comfortable on driving on my own or is there another way.
last thing then I will let you guys go. With all the problems I had it never detour me from enjoying driving the rig. I love seeing the beautiful scenery that is this country has. I like talking to the drivers which I found were really friendly and willing to give advice. I did not know how hard it is being a trucker but I do like driving I got that from my dad who love to drive.
Sorry for the long question but I will take everyone advice to heart.

I would type up a real descriptive memo of your experiences with that first acehole, and turn it into HR Dept, or Safety Dept. He has NO BUSINESS in being a trainer.

Next, DO NOT FEAR another trainer. The next one may be a charm to be with, so much so, he may try to convince you to becoming a lease operator...BUT DON'T.!!!

As far as your backing goes? Tell the new trainer of your experiences, he WILL HELP YOU!!

And lastly, no matter the situation, your feelings, the whatever, DO NOT COMPLAIN, just DO IT, shut up and get it done. NO ONE LIKES a newbie/rookie, complainer. Not that you did complain (or did MUCH complaining), I'm just saying, KEEP QUIET.

Good luck to you, you WILL survive.:biggrin_25525:

If it took you 8 tries to get your license you AREN'T going to make it . The only reason they let you be in a truck now is so the trainer can make extra money .

It is unfortunate that you had such a bad experience. I would report him to both Safety department and Human Resources department.
    .
Living off energy drinks and lacking sleep is a recipe for a crash and burn at some point in time. That trainer is an accident waiting to happen. Safety department should take this complaint very seriously especially in the current CSA era. This driver is a threat to the company's CSA score.
    .
Human Resources department should investigate the sexual harassment aspect of your original post. Nobody else should be subjected to this kind of intimidation. I doubt that this is the first time or last time it will happen should it not be stopped now.
    .
Sounds like this trainer needs to permanently lose his trainer status and go back to solo driver status. His loss of income from training is his own fault.
    .
Talk to your next trainer and express your concerns before you go out. I bet they are not the jerk the first trainer was.

It's quite apparent that Dan England doesn't give a rat's rear end about CSA and it's score!

Yep! I'd have quit the ATA if I had been a member when that happened. Their numbers are atrocious!

Thank you for the advice and I am taking it to heart. To Gizmo Man I did keep my mouth shut but when he would ask me what is the problem I would say there is nothing wrong but he kept pressing and would not let it go. I was taught by my father when someone is teaching you to keep your mouth shut and pay attention and I also learned it in the basic training. When it comes to training I am a sponge that will absorb the information.
To RickG I bet you would of gave up. The reason why it took me 8 tries is because I was tring to hard and did not take my instructors advice. Most of it was backing I would try to get it into a space without pulling up so I would encroch. Then I ran over a curb and then did not study for a week before the test and failed the 4 point inspection. The way I am try to be the best at everything I do and I have never failed at anything that I tryed to do. I also love driving and seeing this beautiful country. I think you would be a terrible trainer like my last one. Instead of helping you tell them to leave.
For Xcis I am going to take your advice and tell my next trainer that and where I think I need improvment at and if he see anything else. I am also like to work as a team. I will stepup to get the job done. I am going to go out for a month or so to gain more experence before I decide on anything.
Thank you everyone for the advice.

I wonder if one of their highly qualified drivers that are part of those numbers could fall asleep at the wheel while driving into their terminal in West Valley City, turn right into the front door then drive right through the office and come to a rest on top of one of the Englands. If that would ever happen then at least those wonderful scores would make sense. Now that would make for some good reading.

Yup , tell the lesser qualified to leave before they run over something . There are thousands more qualified eager to take their place .
