No heat... Please help

    Yes the fan was on for about 20 minutes right after startup at idle... I'm in Arkansas and it was cold on saturday when I was at the truck. Y would it be on? Drove in and it started to freespin buy comes back on fully only seconds after

    John p... Where is the water filter or where would it be... Winter front? Are u talking about the cardboard I have in front if the grille?Lol

    Do you have the air conditioning switch on? The fan will come on start up when the air pressure is below 60 psi or so. Make sure you don't have another set of valves as well, I have 4 total valves.

    The coolant filter will look similar to a car's oil filter, and will usually be located near the radiator, although some can be kind of hidden down by the oil cooler (passenger side of engine behind the frame rail)

    A/c switch is off... Will check filter and fir more water valves... Where are Ur other 2 babes located

    New thermostats can be bad, had that problem. New seals must be put in with thermostats, and if they are not seated perfectly straight, the engine will not get warm from water bypassing the seals.

    Also, the defroster causes the A/C compressor to cycle just like regular A/C does.

    I have 2 valves down by the water pump and 2 up by the rear of the head above the oil cooler.

    You'd be amazed @ the number of people that will argue that point. It's setup that way to keep the AC compressor seal from drying out from lack of use in the cold season.
