So I got my new truck, 2012 pro star. I took a break from moving all my crap over and noticed no air horn cable to pull. It's a button on the steering wheel. Really? So lame. First autoshifts and now this? I'm crushed.:biggrin_25516:

Actually my daughter will be really crushed. She loved pulling that cable when I got home. Somehow pushing a button just isn't the same.

My Volvo is the same...When kids give me the "pull" gesture I fake like I'm pulling a cable while pushing on the steering wheel...Lame, I know....

Just wait until you really need it, in a rush, and hit the engine brake, radio, and marker lights. I have a Prostar, and it's a comfortable truck. The digital antenna hookup is better than any store bought antenna around. Overall, I like the interior setup of the prostar. It pulls uphill like #### though. Anything over 36k and you'll be dragging ###.

Actually it's the other way around. Wait until you need to turn the jake on and accidentally blow the air horn. Whoops! sorry, driver. :biggrin_25523:

Trucking just ain't what it used to be.
Too many people who have no idea about trucking are designing our trucks, making the rules that govern us,planning our routes, booking the loads, enforcing the laws, telling us what to think, hiring new 'un-fit' drivers, recruiting newbies, and in general just screwing up what used to an honorable profession.

Big Tom, Logan76, SL3406 and 2 others Thank this.

Is that why MVT keeps blowing his horn backing in:biggrin_2555:

I know I see Volvo guys writing on their steering wheel and setting theirs off.

My new '12 Mack still has the cord but has a slightly raised city horn button on the wheel. Look at it too hard and the doggone thing toots.:biggrin_25523:

BTW, my "surging problem" turned out to be that the "electric fuel pedal" connector was barely plugged in (up behind the dash).

Another of our trucks had the TV / Fridge connectors installed but not hooked up. Several had fuses etc not installed.

Gawd, ya gotta love the new "Quality Control" dontcha?:biggrin_25523:
