    To answer your first question:

Very important....unless you like paying out $$$ for being over weight and/or over gross!

Here we go again, the mods deleted some of the post. You got to be kidding........ There was no fighting, it was a DISCUSSION !!!! Please EXCUSE me but the mods are going overboard on this one. Good thing Im looking elsewhere(forum) where WE could have a DISCUSSION without having post deleted.
    I guess I Hi-Jacked this thread.

Could have jumped across the river to exit 4 in Illinois...CAT scale @ the Pilot.

Road Ranger @ exit 275 on I44 has a Cat Scale, too. Or the Quicktrip on 270 @ exit 33. Or there's Christy's Fuel on Hall St. north of the rail yard.

Or, since you were heading South on I55 anyway, you could have hit the Quiktrip in Herculaneum @ exit 178.

Plenty of options. State scale ain't 'til the 160.

Dave, the posts that were deleted had nothing to do with the topic, they were just picking at a member. If you want a place where that kind of behavior is allowed, you'll find it at any other trucking site. TruckersReport is for the rest of us who want help and information, not abuse.

Again........Why does it have to be a CAT scale ? If there are no CAT scales around the shipper's but a full scale, would you use it, or is it because they can't do the math with the axles ?

There was no abuse, we were just initiating the newbie(OP), and telling him we all been there, only that the OP has chip on his shoulder and considers himself a perfectionist. What did the OP do, click on the RED button and said he was getting picked on ?:biggrin_2559:
