That's what I meant, ye ol' brain goes kinda slow sometimes. I've about given up on him getting his class a. What sucks is that he has to work at that temp job, or should I say live there. It doesn't seem like there are too many good programs out there for us "poor folk" who used to be middle class. We need to win the darn lotto. Then if we won the lotto, wouldn't be a need to switch from class b to class a.
Spacecoast and TennRider Thank this. -
BUT i would take your time and just keep trying . I am in the same boat I drained my savings account to pay bills as a supplement. I'm going to go to unemployment and see if they will try and help me get training. all my money is almost gone I have applied for all kinds of jobs. they give me nothing but your over qualified if I hire you you'll just leave so I'm not wasting my time to hire you for a temp job. ? so i can't catch a break from even the low pay jobs. DON'T GIVE UP!!!! keep pushing stick with Prime they offer good stuff. better than most start up companies. it may take a few weeks or more but from what I hear they fill up every class and loose 70% after the first week or so. It will happen. yea alot of Truckers have alot to say about all the Prime wanna be's but they have a job we DON'T . gotta start somewhere. -
just don't take any of them though there are alot that will put you under ... or keep you right at poverty level so then your stuck big time....I would research everything. from start to after your year and listen because they aren't recruiters for nothing... they will hang you in fast talk because they know they can't offer you much ..

just something to think about.. if you can. I'm going to get my medical and permit. on my own. shows initiative on your part... if i hear nothing from anyone for a job. i'm going to drive someone nuts until they give me a truck to use or give me a job. and get my CDL one way or another.. or at least try to. just a thought. Tennessee CDL testClass A written $46.00 ... Medical is probably $100.00 give or take I haven't checked yet. but if you can swing it . it keeps you out of the start up training and puts you up about a week or so more to start and shows that your determined . to the maybe companies.

What did Central promise you? I'm back in driving school again due to lack of recent drive time and need to find a company that will accept a student trainee driver. Central Refrigerated, like most companies, has both a good reputation from some and a bad reputation from other people. You kind of have to take all the information that you hear with an open mind realizing that not every company fits everyones needs. I'm still debating what kind of company I want to work for. There are so many options out there that I'm almost confused on which way to go.
