reading all of ROBW's posts, I can vouch for the accuracy of his statements. we went to the same trucking school and have kept in touch. he has called me and chewed my ear off on virtually every he has posted here. you can tell it still stings him alot :biggrin_25516:

How much or Werners fleet have APU's? Every truck i pass here in Az i notice have one. WHat are the chances that a newby will get a rig with a APU? I'm guessing very low.......

hang on to your hat werner fans! I just met a student that was in his trainers truck for the weekend while his trainer is on home time.

thats right they have a new policy that students in trucks that have APU's will not be put in hotels for the time trainers are at home.

just when you think they cant posibly screw the driver/student any further they'll think of something :biggrin_25516:

Werner isn't that bad of a company. There are a lot of kinks to it yes, but the main problem is the people they hire. NOw granted, Breakdown SUCKS, as does night/weekend dispatch. However if u can get on a dedicated account u will be much better off.

Breakdown doesn't have to suck if you limp the truck along until your hometime. I've got a bad charging system, a side mirror blown off by a lazy hawk, a bad bunk heater, and my APU A/C compressor has been busted since I picked it up.

I'll be dropping it off at the pete dealer on Wednesday, and if I'm lucky, they'll be backed up and waiting for parts long enough that I get a week off with the old lady.
