I sure would like to have an fld like your old one SHC with a cat motor and 13 speed! I'm not even a freightliner guy but something up an fld with a small flat top and single stack, nice and simple.

it was an awesome truck. It has a 430HP 12.7 Detroit tho, but with the 3.90 gears you wouldn't know it. At 65mph tho it was screaming but still managed 7.5mpg pulling a van trailer, even with all that box hanging in the wind.

I was pulling in almost 9mpg pulling that tanker in the pics when it was empty.

I had a chance to get it back but the place I traded it into was using it as their tow pig to go get trucks from auction and I know it wouldn't be the same ol' truck anymore. I'll just keep the Star-Car and make it my own once I get the last few kinks worked out.

I kinda figured they'd go up to 70 odd inches. Really wondering if they made anything 77-80+. More space without the big box look and less weight. Cause I see a lot of these trucks all stretched out with all that extra empty space on the frame and I think, man, if only the sleeper kept on going a bit further that'd be pretty cool.

70" is the biggest Freightliner made in a midroof style. If you were to get one of the older Classic's with the modular sleepers i am sure ICT or ARI would build you something.

Yeah, I'm right there with you :/ Love my flattop, but not crooking my neck first thing after getting up would be nice.
On another note, my pipes stop at 11'9. works great under nyc low bridges when the load is low, and sneaking through manhattan to get out through one of the tunnels n miss the tolls to Jersey from boroughs/long island ;) That's a beautiful thing!

kajidono, SHC and kubotaorange76 Thank this.
