Please just keep updating. It is nice to have my job, but it is always good to keep your options open. This last decade has been most unique and frustrating. I am a boomer and just trying to support my family.:yes2557:

Why doesn't he work direct for MBI or direct for any of the other trucking companies in the area. Working for a leaser is a good way to lose your mind. Usually the company guys don't slow down. Leasers are hit or miss at every company out here.

You're right. And it's quite the hassle when there's a breakdown. Not another truck to just jump into. He's a pretty loyal guy though and is sticking it out. (at least for now)

Have you checked how long it takes to get a new tanker trailer in?

Has anyone else noticed water hauling slowing down in ND the last month or so? Does anyone know why? Or is it just the owner operators leasing on with companies that are slowing down?

Well the time has come to pack the car and head to ND. If the trip goes as planned will drop wife off in western Ks and be in the Williston area on Monday morning. Any one have any last thoughts about trucking companies to stay away from or where any housing might be. I would also like to say thanks to all who have posted here over the last year. Some have made me laugh some have given much food for thought. I will try to post some of what I find and the out come of the trip.

I'm a 20 year veteran petro driver with all the endorsements living in Maine. Fairly good hours in the summer with vacationers here, but the rest of the year can barely get 40 hrs. 1 minor not at fault fender scrape on my MVR.
Any opinions on hauling oil in ND, MT????
    GOOD COMPANYS??? BAD COMPANYS???
