I just had injectors, cups, camshaft and of course the head gasket replaced on my '04 Detroit.
It's suddenly blowing white smoke out the exhaust. I called the shop that did the work and they said it's probably a bad injector.
Does this make sense? I'll get it checked out tomorrow.

i have a 05 freightliner columbia with detroit 14.0 liter series 60 is blowing white smoke while idle and it consumed 1 gallon of antifreeze in a 6 hour trip...does anyone have a clue of what could be the problem! (drtrucking)

Yes it does make sense. Problem that some techs have is when they do the injectors on the Series 60 engines, they have a habit of using the wrong torque by doing the injectors "hand tight" instead of doing the actual 18 ft lbs. This is a tech or "shade tree" mechanic cutting corners. This causes the o-rings to not seat correctly causing anti-freeze to leak into the cylinder from around the injector. the '04 Series 60 has a channel for antifreeze that runs by the injector to help keep them cool.

Too many variables here. Does it blow white smoke all the time or only at idle? I recommend checking you oil to see if it looks milky. At a minimum you will be changing injector o-rings, but with that much antifreeze it could be head gasket, leaking in the cylinder wall, too many things can cause that.

I have done to many inframes and NEVER replaced a head during an inframe. Only every had to replace one head and that was on a 550 cat that was cranked to high got the exhaust bolts way to hot and when i went to put a new manifold gasket snapped all the bolts. the shop tryied to drill and retap but was to bad to do it....on head every. inframe it spec the head pressure test and if all passes deck it new head gasket kit and run her

I wonder if detoit 60 has cast iron head. They do crack. Cat and Paccar engines started using some special aluminum alloy heads starting in like 2002. Those never crack, i think. just warp :) (and warp is fixable)

I average like 7.5mpg with a C-13 driving TN to PA and back (lots of mountains). But i drive at like 61mph lol. I always thought detroit was better, but im having good mpg experience with my new cat:)

I think those bubbles could also be from the compressor air leaking into coolant, e.g. some heater valve or compressor gasket, unless i am not remembering right...
