For right now FRE doesn't go to FL and doesn't hire from their either.

 

Yea I figured that,I didn't ask high country transport if they did. Pensacola is like lower alabama anyway but on down into fl I can see where its a hemoroid to get out w/freight cause everybody else needs a load too and aint but one way to go,north. When I would go down there w/flatbed loads they would up the freight charge cause we always would deadhead out to geaorgia,alabama and even as far as mississippi. On commision pay those DH miles are free.

 

I hate this dam blackberry,it puts letters in words and makes you look like an idiot and can't spell. Duuhh I used ta won't ta be uh truk driva now I r oyne...LOL

 

iPhone does the same thing.

 

Sorry to hear you are having so many issues Harleyman. I think you could probably live with the other problems but the hometime one has put you over the top. Don't blame ya man. Seems you Fla. guys have a real hard time getting back. I have only had one time in over a year when I didn't get home within a day or two + or - of schedule. Much easier getting through CO. I even got home a few nights just passing through. Wish you well man and hope you find something that keeps you close to home.

 

Yeah, it's just getting old, and I've been OTR long enough now, ready to settle down.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have written many post on the JBS Forums, Hell I started the first thread on JBS, I Hired on Left and came back....
There has always been a lot of speculation as to why when and where, I never discussed any of that on this forum in regards to as why I left the first time. So Now I am going to answer all of that and some More.

I left JBS after the "new" management was brought in in September of 2010 almost all of them are gone now. I had a major blow out with the Director of Operations whom I got to see get demoted when I came back and Thank God he quit shortly after. He was a worthless blowhard, and in his footsteps JBS has allowed yet another worthless blowhard to do the Job...

I am not going to whine about this and that, But I am going to point out a few facts some good and some bad...

I came back to JBS the money was good I made 57k in 7 months. Not bad money and that is just what is on my W-2 for 2011. With that I must let you know if you want to make that money you better be ready to be out no less than 9 weeks and you better not like being at home..

I did it for many years, and for the better part of my time with JBS.

Ok Fast Forward to Christmas this year, I have a wonderful Wife, 3 kids and 4 Grandkids. Had an awesome Christmas with family, the Monday following Christmas My Wife and I have a long talk, for the first time in our Marriage My Wife informs me she wants me to be home more. OK No Problem JBS Policy states 7 days our 1 day off, No Biggie I work 21 out 3 days at home..
WHOA Go out on Jan 3rd, come home on the 24th (3 days Early NO PAY) Deadhead 630 miles NO PAY. This ain't looking good at all, Set my PTA for Monday Do not get a load for 2 more days, so now I have been home for 8 Days no Pay.. And what I have to DH 390 miles to pickup a load..... This sucks. Set time off for the 24th of this Month.... I got home on the 21st again Home Early 3 days NO Pay DH 365 miles home.. Ok this is pissing me off at this point..
Tuesday I go with my Wife to eat and whats this She pulls out my Pay Stubs for the 2012 so far.... I get madder than hell when she points out that the days away from home, not including sitting on the road... But the days I am driving divided by 10 hours a day divided by my Gross Pay comes out to less than 12.00 an hour, now that hurt like a mofo.... It gets worse take the days I sat without a load add 10 hours a day for them also and I make less than 5.25 an hour... Now I am fuming mad so I go back through all my trips for the year and find some mistakes that i have not been paid for... Which does not help at all....

So now that I realize that the 17 year old High School Senior at McDonalds makes more than me I am livid beyond belief....
So I do some calling on Wednesday Payroll will fix the missed issue's no problem...
My DM is in the Hospital and is a walking Deadman due to his BP being 197/149 YEA BIG ISSUE THERE JBS Is killing him with Stress...
Ok So I send an email and Get no response from Management at all..


In the meantime I find out that my Wife is now taking meds for Anxiety... A little Probing and I find out from Family that she is stressing out about my Crappy Pay, and being gone so long and not making money she is worried I am getting the shaft..( oh HOW right she is)

SO I make a phone call and decided that for the first time in 21 years of OTR driving, the first years were local on the ranch... That I am going to make a huge Change in my life....

I am Leaving JBS for the above reasons... Which Clearly defined are Simple

JBS Operations Management, Supervisors and THE "Director" do not have a clue as how to poor piss out of a BOOT much less run an OTR Reefer company.... A MEAT COMPANY at that... THINK MONTFORT YOU MORONS....THE OLD DAYS MIGHT BE GONE But MONTFORT HAULED THEIR OWN PRODUCT DUH That is why the MONTFORT Boys OWN THE COLORADO ROCKIES and ARE Relaxing THEY MADE MONEY UNLIKE WHAT YOU ARSECLOWNS HAVE DONE TO JBS CARRIERS......

I Will be moving on in life to driving Heavy Haul Equipment for a Local (east Coast Highway contractor) I will drive anything from Quad Axle Dumps to 12 axle RGN's..... I Will be home everynight except the occasional out of town trip, or weeks in Florida... Great Benefits, etc etc I have Family who works there and YES it DID help to get the job....

I am not saying some can not make money here, I do not know if someone intentionally has tried to force me out, which I could give two flying hoots if they did.

They (JBS) just like any company have their ups and downs......
I am trying to be somewhat Nice But Hey I wish I never went back and wasted my time....

TO make it clear they DID straighten out the issues with my money I have never had any problems getting paid...

I have however had issues with getting miles due to a lackluster ############ in the office.....

Now Please do not PM me asking WHY or HOW, I gave it to you straight up, My Wife Hates my Jobs because I was not making any money... You do the Math May-Dec 2011 Make 57k Jan-Feb 2012 Make less than 4k around 3768.40 to be exact Any Questions there. BIG Difference that would put me making about 24k this year if I stayed.. Uh I don't think so I am not a moron.....

##### DOC, with your exsperience,dedication,work ethic and straightforwordness you would b e an asset at ANY truckin company.hell I envision you at ups makin 25$ an hour an off every weekend an home every night. I know what your sayin I sat 23 hrs tues.for a 160 mile load. I'm lookin hard right now and have a few options. One thing I haven't told anyone- I'm hiring a sports agent to get an interview with a NASCAR team of any division,I would have to move to the charlotte nc area but that's cool,my daughter might possibly be at ECU in greenville nc gettin her masters. Yep I see the ole purple pirate on your avatar. She attends Texas A@M where she is a nautical/marine archaeology major,history minor. There are only a few schools that offer graduate school for that,her fiance' is a marine at camp lejune and currently in afghanistan. She grds in dec.and hopefully gets in for the masters at ECU next august. A@M and West florida at pensacola are the other 2 that offer it. ECU is also the only school to ever bring up artifacts from a pirate ship-Blackbeard's Queen Anns Revenge. The other pirate ship, the Whydah, was brought up by barry cliford off cape cod, but, he was not school related...back to regular scheduled programing.
