Beware of this truck stop menace (it's nation-wide!)

what ever happened to the truckers only sections in truck stops. Used to have to show the DL to prove! But fast an quiet. Great food best waitress'

 

yes that pisses me off more then buses that's why they have campgrounds .we can't go there to park

 

You know that may be a new one moved by a commercial driver.

When I drove tour bus, If I had to park the bus at a truck stop, I'd try to park up front if possible, if I had to park with the trucks, I'd park in a spot that would be hard for a truck to back into but easy for me to back into.

 

Unless there are signs that say NO RVs, there isn't s$%^ you can do but whine about it on TTR.

What's the difference if it is an RV or 20 dropped trailers in a truckstop?

 

At least the people on the buses might actually spend money in the truck stop, not just buy a small soda and sit and use the free wifi for hours and park their truck for free.

 

American Trucker I use to deliver RV's for a local Dealership. The Dealership WOULD NOT PAY for me to stay at a RV park. I tried to park out of the way,but that wasn't always possible. Unless you 100% sure it isn't a Driver who is delivering the RV to a dealership or a customer don't complain. As far as Busses going into T/S's I don't have a problem with it. I'll eitheir hurry and get done with my business ASAP or wait till the bus leaves.

 

Never stop at the T/A in Effingham, IL or Earle, AR then because the mexican motor coach buses come in about every hour or so. Will ruin your day, night, weekend in a hurry!!!

 

Tour busses can occasionally be fun depending on the group. Couple times I've had tour groups oohing and aahing at "all the neat trucks" out in the lot. Somewhere in Europe I have a whole bunch of photos of me, the Freightshaker I was driving and assorted tourists in and around my truck. Thank goodness I had just washed it.

 

I've seen groups of Oriental tourists from a busload wander out into the parking lot, and take pictures of the trucks like crazy.

 

Now a bus load of college cheerleaders may not be so bad...
