Give Prime a try this is a good company I call Monday for my bus ticket I'm in it was hard to get in took almost 2 weeks to get this far the Recruiters name is Tabatha her number is 1-800-224-4585 Ext 6658 she is there 8-5 Monday-Friday she has been wonderful she will do what ever to help you but you must be honest tell the truth no lies and she will tell you what you need to do to get in and to succeed.

Prime's another of those "fleece" program carriers>keep looking.

 

I'm sorry I think you are wrong about Prime and most companies won't take unless you have 1 year so you have to start somewhere if not happy after 6 months to a year can go somewhere else.

 

So you out of all the guys in just the class I was in that did lease got sent home? Something doesnt sound right, England is a top 50 company as far as fairness to its drivers but some of the stories on this site are just plan stupid...I have to call BS on 90% of the complaints on this site and I can speak from experience.

In no way do I think CRE is just a GREAT company, but they are a great starting point. The requirements now days for getting a trucking job is crazy. CRE will give you everything you need to get your foot in the door and even make some monies doing it.

 

I'm in school at slc right now, we all know they want us to lease. It's no big secret to anyone. A horizon rep came in to address our class on day 2. As far as when talking to recruiter it never even came up. I have talked to several people who have upgraded to solo company, so no it's not impossible. Though the time with phaze 2trainer seems to range from 10 days to 90+.

 

Prime's a training company that fleeces it's share croppers.

 

Get your cdl and get out, after the first few months here the horse #### side of CRE is coming out. If you get but in B1 and Brian Baker is your DM RUN FOR THE HILLS...I was making good money till the last month, had it out with that moron of a DM and now I get 100-600 mile load with days in between. Im quiting and going else where.


CRE is only good for one thing, easy way to get your CDL.....they tell you "if you think your going to come here and get your CDL and leave, think again no one will hire you" they are dumb lots of places will hire you. So again get your CDL and get out.

 

Prime DOES have a lease / purchase program available, but they don't push it on you. And they pay percentage of rate charged to the customer, NOT a fixed cpm. AND they have a guaranteed minimum cpm that's > $1 / mile for every 100K miles driven under the lease program. Best L/O program I've found so far.

Prime has the BEST training pay of any 'starter' company. Hands down. AND they have the shortest contract (~8 months?) when you use their CDL training.
