Hey guys, i wanted to see if anybody could give me some info on Prime's Driver training program. I like the fact that you get your experiences hands on and basically not in a school. That way i learn quicker as a matter of fact.
But i just wanted to know if anybody has gone through Prime and if they had a good experience with their program? Im just starting out as a truck driver, i have my CDL Permit just looking for a good company that pays for the schooling, moneys tight. I hear alot of good things about Prime, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Many of us have threads on here documenting our journey through the program... I started a thread before I got here. Its a good program. Its all hands on training in the real world. There are some great instructors, I know several of them. If you come, find an instructor who does it because he wants to, not because it pays. This guy will teach you what you need to know, because he cares.
Carabello720 and McBjork Thank this. -
Pick the instructor that is willing to give you all of his instructor and training pay... Or give the money to charity... Then you will know he is not in it for the money. -
nice test wish i used that for my flatbed trainer i would of been better off

An altruistic bench mark that narrows the field of trainers to maybe a handful of people in the entire industry mixed with thousands of liars. Needle in a haystack scenario.
I'd say a trainee with good interview skills and decent instincts who isn't so eager to take whatever trainer is thrown at him has an excellent chance of finding a good one.
Maybe scout the practice pad for guys testing out. Some instructors only instruct.
I got lucky, shuttle guy paired me up by announcing he had a student on board looking for an instructor. My guy raised his hand.
I think the key was we spent the next hour interviewing each other. Neither of us were assigned to each other at that point so I didn't feel any particular need to accept that this guy was my trainer.
Nearly every trainer does it for the money. The question is how much value an responsibility does that trainer place upon himself in making sure a trainee is properly trained.Carabello720 Thanks this. -
