    I ride with my husband, and he leased on a little over a month ago. The company is nothing more than a joke. I am not sure how they can sleep at night.!! We have put in serious hours ( 16 plus a day) and a lot of miles ( 5200 in one week) and the pay was 600.00!! Seriously? How is it these people can get away with stealing from it's drivers? There should be someway to stop these crooks. I told my husband I hope we get pulled by the DOT...Because I promise I will tell them how crooked this flipping company is. They REQUIRE you to run illegal logs, or your fired! If you can't log it, then they will show you how!
    Although I know it isn't fair to my husband, I am the one who sees him so tired and worn out by the time he gets to stop..For a wife, it is like watching your heart kill itself.
    On the flip side, this is OUR LAST WEEK HERE...WE ARE MOVING ON! And all we want, is an honest days pay for a honest days work.:biggrin_25519:

    Glad you two are moving on.Did you ask the company where is the money for all the miles you drove?You know what you should do,once you're done with them report them to the DOT..This is why I sont kiss no companies ###.They pay slave wages or don't reimburse or pay the drivers for all the miles.So why bust your ### to get them richer and keep you in the poor house.Does'nt make any since.

    I for one would be interested in seeing more details on this. I for one would love to run again.
    Is your husband a company driver, O/O? Are plates & permits front loaded into the contract?

    Hurricane has been a rip off for years. The only thing that has changed has been the address. They've been pulling this lease purchase scam for years and people see big shiny Peterbilts and get all dumb because they want to drive a large car. Don't work here. Don't think about it. I didn't even have to go to Arkansas to see how bad of a deal it was.

    They have been a BAD DEAL for years but always get somebody all GIDDY over that BIG OLD LARGE CAR to sign on the dotted line and :biggrin_2553: about it AFTER the FACT.

    Just read this SWEET DEAL :) $1.39 / Mile REEFER freight , they are pocketing the difference.

    I have read a few reviews on Hurricane over the past few years and they have NEVER been good reviews. Perhaps if drivers would research a company before applying they could avoid some of these truly shady companies.

    well seems like I am not alone in what I think about Hurricane Express They are very dishonest and do not pay what they claim they somehow manage to deduct all your earnings under the guise of rental payments and are very creative about how they do things course you can Always go to Debbie and get your logs figered out right Hawk???
