I hear truckers talking about parking at Walmarts and I know Walmart has always been very good about RV's and stuff spending the night in their parking lots. But where exactly do you park the big rigs? In the lot? In the back? What is their policy about big rigs parking at their stores?
Wally world parking?

Alot have truck parking spaces. Like a mini truckstop at WalMart.
-
The Walmart in Plainview, TX is always full of truckers parked towards the exit end of the parking lot. Those parking spaces don't fill up that far down. I've not seen that many in Lubbock at Walmarts but that's more likely due to the location of the Walmarts there.

Some Walmarts allow truck parking, some do not. It is their business whether they do or not, and if the parking lot is marked for "no trucks", then you can assume that you cannnot park there. However, even if there is a "no trucks" sign, you may pull in and do your shopping, but leave afterwards.
If you do use a Walmart parking lot, have the decency to go in and do a little bit of shopping, keep it clean, and enourage others to do likewise. In fact, if you use a parking lot, it does not hurt to send a thankyou note addressed to the store manager, or dropped off in a suggestion box inside.
I rarely use them for parking, but there was one trip where I planned out my route, and discovered that the truckstop I was planning to make use of had closed down. I was out of time, and there was a Walmart just down the road, so I tucked in for the night. So my thanks go out to the folks running the Walmart at Union Tn, up north of Memphis. -
There is one in Birdsboro, PA, just East of Reading on Route 422 that looks more like a truck stop than a Wal-Mart. I camp there every time I have an early AM delivery in Birdsboro. There is even a Kentucky Fried Taco Bell on the corner of the lot to add to the convenient hospitality.
Thank you Wally World. -
Well, I won;t be in Birdsboro, but I will be on your end of the country monday morn. i have to leave tomorrow morn, pick up a load of starch in Chicago, then haul it to the paper plant in Spring Grove pa, just south of harrisburg. Then, I have hopes of picking up an outbound load from the keystone state heading back to the Chicagoland area, or any other point in the midwest. The paper plant normally gets it starch by rail, but they are running behind getting rail cars out there, which means more money for us.

The WalMart off I-10 west of Phoenix (I think Goodyear AZ) will have your truck ticketed and towed if you dare park there. They have room in back for 5 or 6 trucks, but you BETTER be delivering.
Some little old lady stepped in "something" nasty. Not sure what it was, or if it even came from a truck, but that put a stop to it. -
The Super Wal*Mart off US-223 in Adrian, Michigan allows truck parking. And there is a mini-mall located on the west end of the lot that has a pretty good Mexican eatery and a place to get a good haircut as well.
Kudo's to Wal*Mart for helping out us truckers! -
Pretty much, like everyone said, if the wally world allows truck parking, be considerate. Park at the end (of the lot) where the docks are, but stay out of the way (the best you can, obviously). And don't leave trash in the lot, put it in the can.
Oh, and some wallyworlds only allow truck parking for a few hours; Greenfield,IN, comes to mind. You can park and shop, or just nap, but only for four hours, then security will ask you to leave. And if you don't comply, they will call the cops. And they warn you of this when you first pull in.
