First dot level one inspection!

drug screen ??

 

as far as i understand the CSA, anything that can be fixed on the spot by you or roadside (bad tire, air leak, wheel seal, etc) will not get you a ticket. and about the ABS.........from what i have been told they can not put you OOS for a simple ABS light. the light indicates that the antilock feature does not work.

is there anything at all on the form they gave you to send in to your company? if not, then you have nothing to worry about.

and a drug screen at a scalehouse? do you have proof of this? that is a new one on me. wait for one of the other members who is more familiar on the FMSCA chime in on that one. i would think that you just had some rights violated.

 

When you were issued a cdl,

you lost some of your, so called, Rights !!!!

 

DOT can give drug tests.There's is suppose to be a drug test kit in your trk and don't leave the terminal without one.I have never had a drug test done on the road.Don't think officers give drug test without probable cause but in this case 15 officers were getting trained so maybe they gave him one as part of the training process and the officers picked him out to be their guinnea pig,lol

 

I have never heard of being required to carry a drug test kit.

 

My question is so why did u leave the yard with the same trailer without it getting fixed.You're just as much to blame as the company.Yes that inspection is going to affect you big time.You now have some serious points on your CSA.I would go to the FMCSA website and see how many points each of violations are and start doing your pretrip and do not leave the yard till all that stuff is fixed.CSA and the law ain't playing.Carriers now look at CSA scores from drivers before they get hired.

 

i just want too know , too avoid this next time, were did you pre trip went as taught to you, out the window, i see this as i would gave you a ticket myself, for you didnt do a proper pre trip, if you left the yard , knowing the trl is not fixed, then its your fault, i would never leave the yard , if there a problem with the trl, ever wacth u tube , some scary movies there , as the trl tadems come flying off , going down the interstate, they might save someone life by shuting you down, btw on abs light, if your tractor not setup for abs , the light wont come on ether way.

 

You have'nt?Who do u drive for?Reason u have to have a drug kit on board is say you got into an accident and officers think you may be at fault,they're going to make you take a drug test right on the spot and they're not going to furnish you with a drug kit.
