Cracked P... If driving is living the dream then there would be no jobs left in the Trucking Industry, I drive cause its a great way to see other places and get paid a decent wage. I dont make millions but I sure make enough to support my family and go on great vacations! Common sense is the best tool to have, some have it and some dont.

Advice to you is to relax and take some time off and see if you really want to continue driving. Do what rambo said and find a mom and pop place to work for. Maybe they can help you in the areas you lack. OR...If you think your too good for the Driving Industry then by means dont let the door hit ya on the way out. Either way good luck in your next endeavor.

Well I was ok at first, but it got to the point where when I told people I was a trucker it was like telling them I was a registered sex offender lol. I'm not but judging by the looks on people's face when I told them I trucked was just laughable.

I look at it as just another life experience, I didn't win trucker of the year but I didn't kill anyone either.

Not everybody is cut out to be a truck driver. I mean you don't have to have a degree is physics to drive a truck, but you must have some common sense or your driving career will be short. I am assuming you were pulling a 53' trailer and those back tires are a long way away from you. Some drivers forget you are driving a tractor that's steering a long trailer. With this many preventable accidents I honestly think you should give some serious thought about getting away from 18 wheelers and try something else.

I didn't read all of the posts, but I can tell you from experience that a $200 tire is an incident and is reportable.

Not trying to be a smart ### but I got to ask. Do you have trouble with your depth perseption? Do you wear glasses? If not maybe you should get your eyes checked. Maybe that's part of the problem. :biggrin_2558:
