Ok here is the scoop. There are a few good paying companies for hauling sand. J7, ROWDY FARMS, TRANSWOOD and there are a few others that are slipping my mind right now. The ones that let you run under your own authority like Rowdy farms require you to have a trailer if you get lucky and they have one available then you pay quite a bit for rental they take 15% of what the truck makes plus trailer rental if you can get one. The other ones take about 33% if you run under their authority and use their trailer. All pay 100% of fuel surcharge. I own a sand truck and its been on the road from the second week in november and we grossed over 30,000 after they took their %. Also I work for a frac company here in south texas and let me say this. This isn't going anywhere any time soon. We have 6 running sites out of our yard and are adding two more by the end of next month and possibly a third after that. South Texas will be busy for the next 15 to 20 yrs at least.

I'm with Sandpro and have nothing to complain about so far. I've seen lots of Transwood and Rowdy trucks running though. I agree about South Texas being busy for awhile!! They wouldn't have all this construction going on if it were a flash in the pan.

I am confused. Frac or water hauling? Or oil hauling? I have the tank hazmat endorsements.

Craigslist isn't much help so far. I am in TN and would like to get some more info.

Is there such a a thing for drivers as 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off?
