Mother nature has been roaring this month. Dang wind no matter what direction I am headed. Sure hope she runs out of wind soon.
Was planning on running the shortest route to denver, but with ice and snow forcast for the am, I dropped down to I70. Stopped at colby KS for the night. Blue skys, but the DOT is already laying down the potato salt.
2pm appt so plenty of time to work with the weather.
And then I am home for high school march madness. -

In Ontario tonight. Pick up tomorrow at 1600, then hopefully only have to drag it as far as Boise before repowering it.
TL...wind isn't all that bad so long as it's at your tail.
Last couple winds for me have been broadside or head on.
Had a 12,000 pound load with broadside winds across Kansas...oh what fun!
Then a strong headwind that just destroyed my mileage. Ended up around 6.8...worst I can remember!
(of course memory is the second thing to go...) -
Sitting in Tuscaloosa, AL tonight on my way to Paris,Tx.
Gonna bump my 70 tommorow before I can get all the way there
Will have to finish the trip after midnight tomorow night.
Then pick in Ft Worth, back to Maxton,NC -
Spring is definitely in the air!! It was 86° here in Amarillo today...tomorrow it will be 36°. The wind is blowing like crazy no matter where you are, and severe storms with tornado's followed the next day by snow. I got a meat load to pick up here tomorrow headed to the Bronx. I really don't want to go to NYC, but it's a 1700 mile trip in 4 days. I'm hoping to run it in 3 and get the repower.
I will definitely do that Chuck. I hope you're enjoying your new job.nascarchuck Thanks this. -
Wind wind go away, come back some other day. Well the storm stayed south, so a nice cold clear and relative calm day. Headed home to WY with 25 mph max winds forcast is a blessing.
Emu hope your repower works out this time.
I have to remeber that dispatch thinks WY is a suburb of Denver. -
Well, I had an interesting night. Pulled into SavALot and promptly took off half my bumper and cracked and broke the hood over the driver's tire on a viciously violent yellow post. It leapt out and bashed into me as I backed out of the lot. Nasty thing.
After a pathetic 7K miles in Feb, I'm heading for a worse March. OUCH
This run had four drops in four days for a total of 998 miles. Gads. And I had to sit for two days waiting for IPB to load it. Now I'll have to have a dealer put on a bumper, so my first weeks of March have just over 1,500 miles. -
####...sounds like my bad luck from December and January is getting spread around now. Hopefully things will pick up for you.
Isn't that a brand new truck?? -
Well Its been a windy ride, ran through some crazy rain today in TN, sitting in Texarkana tonight for 1600 deliver in Dallas tom. My turn to go to the yard.... first week of March went well for me, 3650 miles since the first, killing it. I love my new DM..Andy, he just keeps me rolling. Be well, hope I can get outta all this wind its following me, or Im chasing it...cant tell. Shifty.
