I'm in Rapid City quite a bit, and I'll tell ya; there's few things as impressive as B-1s at night! They occasionally due touch and go's at the airport (which is strange, as it's only a few miles from the base,) and I was up there unloading rental cars in a lot about 250 yards from the runway. The rumble of those birds with the burners on incredible! It's one of those "feel it in your chest" things. That's also close enough to see the pressure waves in the exhaust plume, which are brighter blue rings in the blue burner plume if you've never seen them. This was just at the end of twilight so the aircraft was still visible, too.
Post your ORIGINAL plane pics from the road.

This is my kind of thread, I have more pictures of planes then I do my daughter ....lol
I grew up around planes, and a family full of Pilots, and my Mom was a Flight Attendant,
The only thing that kept me from flying is a messed up left eye, they DID require 20/20 at one time...
So now I took my love of planes and combined my love of photography, its become a pretty fun hobby ..

No, they're not.
This one is sans turret

These are the earlier versions with a more rearward turret
What we are seeing in the OP. Can't find any with the same elevation as that pic of 40cal's

I blew the photo up 400% and they do look like either a B24 or B25. I can't tell which due to the size. It does sort of look like they have two engines on each side, but I can't tell for sure. If they have 4 engines then they are B24's. The B25 is the plane that was launched off a carrier to attack Japan during WWII. But, the only have 2 engines. In any case, those are some great photo's. I love planes. I used to love to fly.

Look at the vertical stabilizers, G/MAN. On the 24's they are distinctly oval compared to the 25's. Notice the raked leading edge on the 25's as well.

Numbers 2,3, and 4 were taken from the Petro parking lot outside Nellis and they were coming in for an air show. I really wish I'd have gotten some pics of the F22's flying at the time. The static pics are at Pima when my trailer was in Mexico. Number 4 is definitely WWII era. My truck cam was old and only 3.2mp at the time. Next time, I'll have my Nikon D5000 and 300mm lens.
I've always loved planes, and thought I'd be a fighter pilot. I was too tall. I could have flown cargo, but thought that would be boring. I got a tour and sat in the left seat of a Coastie C130 while picking up a P3 engine, and Red Foreman smacking me and yelling ####### came to mind.
When I was in second grade walking home from school, a 747 with a space shuttle on top flew over me. I wish I had a pic with my Keystone 110 camera
Southpaw7391 Thanks this. -
Now it's my understanding that they are not classified as Air Force 1 and Marine 1 unless the Commander in Chief is on board.Southpaw7391 Thanks this.
