I agree, a lot of drivers walked out after the audit that got them busted!
I got about 30 emails from various drivers who left their company they were at to go to jbs main reason for leaving former company (elogs) boy they were upset when JBS was forced to install them! Lets hope that they now keep things on the up and up.. Take care driver!

I read somewhere, to drive 48 refer division May requires Hazmat, Is there any truth to this?

I don't think so... I was not required to have Haz-Mat and i dont think
May really hauls any Haz-Mat any more. Might be useful to have,
just in case things don't work at May. Checked with my DM and was
told HM is not something that they go after. Again there may be a
situation where a load is needed to get you moving, but very rare...

I called them today to see they are hiring in Florida and she ask me if i was experienced i said yeah they told me to call back tomorrow been that Jennifer (recruiter) wasn't there today.I think they are hiring only exp drivers out of Florida or a least thats what i understood when she ask me if i had exp.I always want it to give them a shot heard lots of good comments about them hopefully i get the chance.Everytime i call or apply they have a freeze on Florida.

Well talked to Jennifer at recruiting today she said they rarely hire from florida and when they do only few drivers get to go onboard sounded like they are not hiring students she pick me cuz my exp .I think MTC turnover rate must be real low compare to other outfits and thats good to hear i believe i will be by my self on orientation or at least the only guy from florida ,i start the 20th life is good!!

I am attending AIT in Phoenix starting tomorrow. I have spoke to Jolene and have a pre hire with them and one with Roehl right now. Both have terminals here in Phoenix, just not sure which one I am picking as of yet. How is the 11 western as fare as milage goes for May? Thinking about strating that way to get my feet wet then possibly going to 48. Also has anyone done the $90 per day for the first 90 days deal? What all does that entail and is it worth it. Or just take the milage pay and suck it up? Thanks for any input.

Hey sporty idk about Rohel but i have done a lot of research on MTC and everything i heard is good i have been following threads from May drivers on the 11 state dry division and they seem pretty busy.May drivers will answer any of your questions i have been talking with a few of them they are good people and they make you feel rigth at home that's why im going with the May family.

May's $90 a day (while under dispatch) is a great option for entry level drivers. A lot of new drivers quit within the first 90 days because they get discouraged by what can be small checks during their break in period, time of the year starting, or, 11 western vs 48 state running.

I hit the ground running on the 48 States three years ago and have never lacked for miles, except for weather or breakdown. Can't say the same for the many drivers I have trained and opted for the 11 western. That's another story and up for debate depending on who you talk to.

The other thing I like about May's 90 day $90 per day option is that they total the paid dispatched miles you ran after 90 days and if it is more than the $90 per day option, you get the difference!

Thanks Scooter. I spoke to Jolene about it a little bit more the other day. I really like the idea of that option, that way I know what I am going to be making when I first hit the ground running. I am looking forward to joining this team. I will be out of the Phoenix terminal. What can I expect at orientation? What all do they cover in it. I know they have you do a driving skills test.

Orientation covers a lot of company policy & procedures. Qualcomm usage and training is included. Skills and road test is a piece of cake.
